I believe—like you do—that the state needs to cut government bureaucracy and focus on paying down and off the budget deficit as expeditiously as possible. I believe—like you do—that the state should make education a priority and schools need to be stronger, more effective and more accountable. I believe—like you do—that political reform in California is a necessity. I believe—like you do—that the state prison population is growing out of control and taking tax dollars away from schools that need it the most. Read more about my thoughts on the prison system. I believe—like you do—that traffic is a nightmare and that we must fix it to preserve our quality of life and our local prosperity. I believe—like you do—that we need to help improve the quality of life for our seniors. We need to take a closer look at MediCal funding, the soaring costs of prescription drugs, as well as targeted tax credits. I believe—like you do—that government should truly serve you. Which is why I’ll push hard to make state services available over the Internet. I believe—like you do—that we must preserve our beautiful environment. I also believe that we must pay fair market value for property to preserve the rights of property owners. I believe—like you do—in a woman’s right to privacy and choice.
